Disk 1

International Convention 1984 (13 minutes)
The Sons of the Desert came to Ulverston for their 4th International Convention. Enjoy the parade, Leslie Halliwell's salutation, the premiere of the Stan and Ollie musical, Jimmy Murphy (Stan Laurel's valet) posing for photographs, Rosina Lawrence and Henry Brandon joining in the fun, Peter Wood and Howard Byron impersonating Stan and Ollie, pee wee, golf, brass bands, pipers, the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway and boating on Lake Windermere.

European Convention 2003 (4 minutes)

This slide show has glimpses of the 6th European Convention thanks to the Perfect Day Tent's conclave in Avi Fauna in Holland.

 Panopticon 2004 (13 minutes)

The Britannia Panopticon Music Hall in Glasgow, where Stan Laurel made his professional stage début in 1906, is being restored. The background, the present and the future are featured in a potted, exclusive tour of this Victorian music hall.

Disk 2

UK Convention 2004 (14 minutes)
Captured at the convention hosted in Oldham by the Blotto Tent are a live TV spot, a cinema matinee, Morris dancers, a Sons banquet, games, a quiz and a Fancy Dress Parade.

Ulverston Carnival 2003 (2 minutes)

The carnival had a fine Sons of the Desert representation on the parade and afterwards in the Stan Laurel pub, recalled in this jaunty slide show.

Ulverston Carnival 2004 (4 minutes)

This movie showcases the parade and the skills of Ollie lookalike Robbie Graham, who is an accomplished illusionist.

Trailer (2 minutes)

This tongue-in-cheek preview trailer for the Oldham and Ulverston events extols their virtues.

Disk 3

 UK Convention 2005 (9 minutes)
The convention in Bournemouth, hosted by the Live Ghost Tent, included games on the beach, a cinema show, dealers' tables, a fancy dress parade, a trip by boat and steam train, communal singing and conviviality.

Laurel and HarDay 2004 (9 minutes)

The Bacon Grabbers Tent's annual event in Wigan had a charity auction and the Annual Kneesie-Earsie- Nosey World Championship. A special event featured Anne Robinson (or was it a lookalike?) interrogating and reproaching some Grand Sheiks in The Missing Link.

Ulverston Carnival 2005 (4 minutes)

The carnival had Sons parading through the town in a fashion befitting Stan and Ollie themselves.

Ulverston at Christmas 2004 (6 minutes)

A Dickensian festival provided a Yuletide break and a flea circus proved a popular act. Chestnuts, antiques and street entertainers all added to the charm.
