Bowler Dessert has been around since 1976. I have edited and published this periodical all those years! I have enjoyed it. The magazine and its website have been widely acclaimed and that is a great credit to the hundreds of people who have contributed seemingly endless material. I am in the position of having more material for each issue of Bowler Dessert than can be accommodated. This is a healthy situation, but just a little uncomfortable for me, hence the publication of this new book as a kind of "overflow" or giant supplement.
